Job Description and Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and monitor the company’s server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
- Regularly patch and upgrade servers to maintain security and performance.
- Manage database backups and conduct routine tests to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure costs, identifying opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
- Ensure the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline is functional, and continuously seek improvements for efficiency.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth and successful application releases across all environments (development, staging, and production).
- Design and implement new server environments as required by business or technical needs.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience and Solid working knowledge of cloud services, particularly AWS and DigitalOcean.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Hands-on experience managing web servers and related technologies like Nginx, Memcached, and PHP-FPM.
- Proficient in configuring and managing databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible, Terraform, and version control systems such as Git.
- Proven experience in administering and creating CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
- Proficiency in working with Linux-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash and Python for automation.
- Experience with open-source monitoring and logging tools such as Graylog and Grafana.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, is a strong advantage.
