Version 2.0.5 of Katsana™ Advanced GPS Tracking and Fleet Management System has been released yesterday, October 22nd at 2:00AM. This continuous update of our tracking platform is available to all present users as part of our commitment to provide latest vehicle tracking features for all.

1. New Login page for our Live Tracking platform
2.0.5 We admit that a majority of our effort has gone towards the inside of Katsana™ Live Tracking platform and this has caused our default login page to be a bit dull. Now, we are proud to showcase the new Katsana™ Live Login page with a distinct Katsana GPS logo. The page is designed to be responsive and should fit nicely on modern smartphones and tablets.
2. Travel distance and Start/Stop details
2.0.5 Noting the need for companies to have better accountability and supervision of their vehicles, we have added additional detail to show the travel distance of the vehicle, as tracked by our GPS system.
We imagine this feature will greatly help company administrators and operation departments to better gauge fuel usage and for mileage claim purposes. On the other hand, having a validated travel distance would be invaluable for individual owners as a definite proof of vehicle movement and mileage acquired.
To complement travel distance feature, we have detailed up Start & Stop feature by adding the time of movement and the address of the movement. This detail is in direct response suggestions by our customers to quickly review their fleet of vehicles without having to export the data to CSV format.
3. Quick link to view vehicle profile
2.0.5 A link has been added to the vehicle Card area which allows you to quickly browse the vehicle profile. Vehicle profile is a new major feature that was added in Katsana™ Version 2.0 that lists violations accrued by specific vehicles.
4. Map improved with Terrain and Topography information
2.0.5 Additional Terrain and Topography detail has been added onto our default map to better highlight the route condition.
5. General performance and scalability improvements
2.0.5 Several updates have been implemented to take advantage of our upgraded infrastructure. The updates are geared towards better handling of major spikes and reduce performance bottlenecks.
6. Bugfix- Buffer issue that render live updates to be sluggish
2.0.5 Katsana’s caching mechanism to speed up web Live Tracking platform somehow does not bode well with the live tracking marker that updates the location of your vehicles every 10 seconds. We have identified the exact cause of this issue and it has been rectified for good.
